This collaboration will help residents to receive the care they need without having to leave the residence, helping to increase health system capacity and slow the spread of COVID-19.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seniors and people with underlying health concerns \u2014 such as diabetes, heart disease, or lung disease \u2014 are at higher risk of developing serious COVID-19 illness. Long-term care and retirement homes are particularly vulnerable to outbreaks due to the communal nature of their living environment. COVID-19 transmission is also a significant concern for residents who live communally because of their proximity to each other and the infection\u2019s ability to spread through person-to-person contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDuring the pandemic, virtual visits have emerged as a logical choice to protect residents, staff, healthcare workers and support staff,\u201d says <strong>Sachin Aggarwal<\/strong>, CEO of Think Research. \u201cThey ensure that people still get appropriate answers to their health concerns from their doctors while helping us to practice social distancing and flatten the curve by reducing in-person visits.
